ATI Accounting Technician Certificate Year 1: Tuesday 17th September 2024.
ATI Accounting Technician Certificate Year 2: Wednesday 18th September 2024.

Course fees are per year: €900 Tuition Fee. Plus €800 payable to ATI directly for professional registration, exams, course handbooks etc.
• Fees must be paid on or before enrolment - No Cash Payments, all fees can only be paid online.

Refund Policy
• Fees will be refunded if a course is under-subscribed and fails to run.
• Fees are non-refundable once you have enrolled.

All DIFE night school students receive free Microsoft Office licence for one year.

Part Time courses run twice a year with courses commencing in September and January and all places are offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Develop a strong foundation in business and accountancy. This initial one-year programme is the first step to qualify as an Accounting Technician and enables progression to the Diploma. It is a Level 4 Certificate Award accredited by CCEA and equates to a Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications in the Republic of Ireland.

Spreadsheet Methods: Students can also avail of a supporting Excel course, Spreadsheet Methods, directly with Accounting Technicians Ireland. This course provides a comprehensive overview of Microsoft Excel to help you prepare for the modern workplace. This course is beginner’s level with no prior knowledge of Excel needed. Students are required to attend the 10 core tutorial hours which is part of the Financial Accounting module. Students have the option of sitting the final Spreadsheet Method exam to achieve the ATI/IACT Excel Certification.

QQI Level 5 Bookkeeping Manual and Computerised 5N1354 – Learn to record business transactions, post to ledgers and draw up a trial balance using both a manual accounting system and a computerised package.

The programme is divided into four modules assessed via remotely invigilated online exams. Updated every year with the newest legislative and taxation changes, the Accounting Technicians Ireland syllabus equips you with employable business skills, and a strong technical knowledge of finance and accountancy practice:

• Financial Accounting: Gain an understanding of the principles and concepts of financial accounting, technical competency in double-entry bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements for various types of reporting entities.

• Taxation (ROI/NI): Develop both an understanding of, and technical skills, in personal and business taxation.

• Business Law (ROI/NI): Gain an understanding of the key concepts and fundamental principles of law in the context of business and commercial activities.

• Business Management: Develop knowledge and understanding of business organsations and functions, information systems in business, modern management, leadership, corporate governance, professional ethics, and corporate social responsibility.
