Entry Requirements

A minimum of 5 passes at ordinary level in the Leaving Certificate or its equivalent.

OR

Leaving Certificate Vocational, Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI Level 4 qualifications.

The Leaving Certificate is not a requirement for mature students and appropriate experience can be considered as being equivalent to the Leaving Certificate.

Grants are available to eligible students. Eligibility depends on individual financial circumstances and a grant must be applied for, through Student Universal Service Ireland (SUSI), see www.susi.ie.

This one-year QQL Level 5 course provides learners with the key skills to plan and complete residential and commercial interior design projects. The learner will be encouraged to discover their own creativity and confidence in applying it in their design work. The course will ensure that learners have the technical skills and knowledge needed to present ideas and specifications to clients and colleagues. In addition, learners will also develop core entrepreneurial and marketing skills, learning how to promote themselves as interior designers and develop a business. On successful completion of the course, graduates will also eligible to progression to a range of HE Interior Design, Product Design and Architecture programmes.
