Duration
Year 2 of a 2 year course.
Students will attend college 4 days a week. Students will go on work placement 1 day a week
Entry Requirements
Students must have completed the Certificate for Accounting Technician (Year 1) successfully before completing the Diploma for Accounting Technicians.

Accounting Technicians are qualified professionals who work at all levels of finance. Accounting Technicians are widely employed throughout the public sector, industry, business and private accountancy practices. They can perform many of the same functions as accountants and are qualified to prepare full financial accounts.

The course allows you to work as an Accounting Technician professional in the corporate or public sector or in private practice.
It also offers you the opportunity to pursue further professional accountancy qualifications with one of the other professional accountancy bodies.
Accounting Technicians are qualified professionals who work at all levels of finance. It is a two-year course, however, students will receive an academic award at the end of each year from ATI, Accounting Technicians Ireland:

The Accounting Technician Qualification Ireland is divided into two parts, each of which is a qualification in its own right: Certificate for Accounting Technicians (1 Year); Diploma for Accounting Technicians (2 Years)
At the end of their two years of study and having complied with all the requirements of Accounting Technicians Ireland, students will be awarded the Certificate MATI (Members of the Accounting Technicians Ireland).
CERTIFICATION: Diploma for Accounting Technicians (Year 2)
