Entry Requirements
A minimum of 5 passes at ordinary level in the Leaving Certificate or its equivalent.
OR
Leaving Certificate Vocational, Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI Level 4 qualifications.
The Leaving Certificate is not a requirement for mature students and appropriate experience can be considered as being equivalent to the Leaving Certificate.

This course provides learners with the knowledge and skills to work in the nutrition or general healthcare area, where nutritional, general health or mental health support, is required. Students will learn the importance of developing a holistic and client focused approach to work. They will also, develop the knowledge and skillset, to meet the emotional, psychological and social needs of clients in the healthcare sector. The role exercise, diet and nutrition plays in maintaining and enhancing both physical and mental health will be a focus of the course.
