Business Studies - Advanced - Pre-University
Students will learn about the administration skills required to do their job to a high standard and to supervise others within the administration department. The overall aim of the course is to provide the student with the opportunity to acquire the skills and competence to work independently or in a supervisory capacity and administrative role in the private, public or voluntary sector. These qualifications can be used to gain advanced entry to degree programmes in third level institutes.

Graduates of the Level 6 programme can apply for advanced entry to Level 7 or 8 degrees at universities and technological universities nationwide. Alternatively, they may enter the workforce in business or marketing roles. The Pre-University Business option supports progression to institutions such as Maynooth University, TCD, UCD, NCI, TUS, TU Dublin (all campuses), DCU, and DkIT. Business graduates can also apply for one of over 175 QQI places in First Arts at Maynooth University.
