Business Studies with Sports & Fitness
This one-year course will provide students with the business skills in addition to the sports/fitness qualifications they need to obtain work in a wide variety of settings.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate or LCA or equivalent standard of education. A keen interest in business, sport and fitness.
Exemptions may be granted to mature students.

Employment Opportunities
Students may seek employment in areas such as sports marketing, sports development and fitness instruction.
Progression
On successful completion of this course students will have the option to progress to Fitness Instruction and Personal Training Year 2. Students may apply for a degree level courses in the area of sports management.
Further information
Students are considered to be mature if they are 21 years of age or over. They must be 21 on or before 1 September in the year of entry.

PLC Grants/ SUSI Grants
The Department of Education and Skills (DES) provides a means-tested maintenance grant scheme for those attending full-time further education.

Places will be offered upon successful completion of interview.

There are growing opportunities in this sector due to national strategies in exercise and sport participation.
