The College welcomes applications from international students provided that such students satisfy all the requirements of the immigration authorities and are deemed eligible by the Department of Education and Skills to participate in our courses. We have many international students attending programmes in the college at the present time and their presence contributes greatly to the life of the college in terms of richness and diversity.

Means-tested maintenance grants are available to eligible students attending approved full-time courses of further education in approved Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) centres, of which Plunket College of Further Education is one. Offers are made on a first-come, first-served basis so confirmation is vital if you wish to hold your place. Failure to register by the set date will mean that your place will be offered to the next person on the list.
This course is intended for students whose first language is not English. It provides a full award at QQI level 5 in Business Studies. It is expected that students will have a B1 level on the CEF scale (Common European Framework) when joining this course. Students will have the opportunity to attend 10 hours of intensive English language classes which will be accredited at QQI level 5 as well as being prepared for examination in IELTS (International English Language Testing System.
IELTS is the international testing system which tests English fluency across the world. IELTS measures the ability of students to communicate in English across four language skills of Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking. It is recognized internationally by universities and third level colleges as a means of entry to their courses.
