The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.

elective units. Coaching will be provided in a variety of disciplines. QQI graduates are eligible to
apply for a range of Higher Education Courses at Institutes of Technology or University under the
Higher Education Links Scheme. Modules on this course include Sport & Recreation Studies, Exercise & Fitness, Team-working, Work Experience, Gaelic Football Coaching, Basketball Coaching, Soccer Coaching, Nutrition and Occupational First Aid.
