The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Hide-This is a two year part time course leading to a Level 6 QQI Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education.
Students will take four modules each year of the course.
Students will be awarded a QQI Level 6 award in Early Childhood Care and Education after year two on successful completion of all the modules.
This award will provide learners with opportunities to transfer and progress to programmes leading to higher education and training awards. The learner may be eligible to apply to progress to the next or higher levels of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with a higher education provider.
This course starts in September and ends in late May. The second year will start the following September and end the following May. Timetabling schedule may change.
The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work as an autonomous practitioner and or take responsibility for the work of others in leading and coordinating the provision of a quality early childhood care and education environment which promotes children's well-being, development and learning.

Students are expected to have a good standard of spoken and written English.
