Financial Support FE Student Grants
The Department of Education and Science has introduced a maintenance grant scheme for Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.
A member of staff is responsible for helping students with their grant enquiries.
Interview 1st Round In March/April, 2nd in Mid-May, Late Applicants in Late August and early September.
Application Date Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.

Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Mature Entry Places Mature students and VTOS applicants welcome.
Entry Requirements •Candidates are expected to be of Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.
•Applications will be considered from those who have completed the LCA and the LCVP.
•Aptitude for, and interest and experience in childcare will be taken into account and selection is on the basis of an interview. The course is open to VTOS applicants and mature students.

Garda clearance will operate for students on any course dealing with children or vulnerable adults.
Careers or Further Progression Many of our students now work at home and abroad in Pre-Schools, Nurseries, Montessori Schools and other related areas, such as Special Needs and Classroom Assistance. Students may gain entry to the Level 6 Advanced Certificate courses in Inchicore College, subject to success at Level 5.
