Mature students are very welcome on all courses in O'Fiaich Institute of further Education and the number of mature students is rising steadily. Some mature students are eligible for VTOS scheme (Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme). |

This course is aimed at students who have completed the Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, Leaving Certificate Vocational and mature students with an interest in working with animals or studying science at either University or an Institute of Technology. |
| Careers or Further Progression |
Suitably qualified students may find employment in the Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing and Grooming Industry or will have the opportunity to pursue Science and Science related Certificate or Degree Programmes. |
