The course runs over one semester in UCD and students come to workshops in the university for 8 full days over a 5 week period. On some of the days students will take part in site visits and case studies. The exam takes place on the last day of the course. |
| Entry Requirements |
A degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
Experience working in road safety engineering.
If English is not your native language, unless you have done your primary degree through English in an English speaking country, an English language qualification is required for all programmes.

Prepares graduates to carry out audits on the Irish TERN network
Approved by the Road Safety Authority to provide students with certificate of competence qualification.
This programme is for civil engineers who work in local authorities, in road design offices and in consultancies and who need to carry out or understand road safety audits. From 2013, all road safety auditors will need to have a certificate of competence to carry out road safety audits on the Irish Tern network. Satisfactory completion of this course and the associated assessment will provide you with that certificate.
