This programme is aimed at educationally preparing nurses to expand knowledge and skills required to undertake a comprehensive health history and perform a ‘head-to-toe’ physical assessment. We aim to give you the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills to carry out a complete health assessment on patients.

You will learn how to perform a physical assessment in a laboratory setting and you can then apply these skills in clinical practice. Emphasis on communication skills and history-taking is a central component of the module.
