Course Fee In general, there are two levels of fees payable. EU students from EU countries including Ireland pay a subsidised level of fees for both taught courses and research programmes. Tuition fees for students from outside the EU are not subsidised and are thus somewhat higher than for EU students.

Entry Requirements Candidates must have a 2.1 Honours Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts or in Computer Science. International students also require IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent).

Course Content This nine month diploma is an interdisciplinary programme combining geocomputation, cultural heritage, design, and humanities/arts research. It is also excellent preparation for those wishing to pursue a computationally-enabled PhD in the arts, humanities, social science, or digital cultural heritage.
Subjects Taught Course Structure
Students will be introduced to the use of open source and proprietary geographical information systems (GIS) software such as QGIS and ArcGIS; become familiar with standards and methods common to digital humanities including XML, TEI, and Dublin Core; learn how to create virtual worlds and acquire an expertise in computer graphic design for cultural heritage; and learn how to encode literary and historical sources.
Careers or Further Progression Careers
Graduates will be skilled in areas of content and data analysis in arts and heritage organisations and in recommender systems for digital organisations such as TripAdvisor and Amazon.
