Hide-Data Analytics, Enterprise Software Systems and Systems Analysis are identified by the Irish Government's Expert Group on Future Skills Needs as areas where there is a skills shortage in Ireland and consequently a large number of current, live job opportunities for appropriately trained graduates.
The WIT Higher Diploma in Business Systems Analysis has been designed in conjunction with industrial partners most notably the information services division of Sun Life Financial services to produce graduates matched to these employment opportunities.
This graduate entry course is particularly suited to either business or computing graduates who wish to enhance existing knowledge and up-skill into highly employment roles in business systems and data analysis, and consequent design of systems.
The course content includes Systems Analysis and Design; HCI and Web Design; Database Modelling; Enterprise Software Skills; Web Development; Data Analytics; Software Validation and Evolution; Project & Change Management
All candidates will take on a 3-month industrial placement. The dedicated WIT ICT Placement Co-ordinator will support all candidates in gaining placements.
The dedicated ICTSkills/Springboard Work Placement Coordinator, Martina Mullally, works with ICTSkills students and employers from the outset of the course in order to match all students with productive and fulfilling work placement experience. In the ICT industry work placements frequently lead to job offers and that has very much been our experience.
