Course Content The workshop will explore understanding of culture and the interplay between culture and religion. These understandings will be applied to bereavement theory and practice.
Learning Outcomes On completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

• have a deeper understanding of the relationship between culture and religion;
• have a greater awareness of the cultural influences that impact on how we view bereavement in an Irish/Western context in relation to theory and practice;
• have an understanding of some of the components necessary for attempting to develop a culturally competent bereavement service.
Course Fee €100 (1-day workshop) included light lunch tea/coffee.
Target Audience Professionals and volunteers who may wish to learn more about loss and bereavement and for those working with people who have experienced a major loss.
