The course aims to offer new perspectives on trauma and violence and thereby improve the ability to deal with challenging situations, contribute towards positive interactions and a better appreciation of ourselves and our human condition.
Presentations that refer to interdisciplinary studies from neurobiology, psychotherapy, sociology and history will be followed by open floor discussions in which students have the opportunity to share personal experiences and discuss individual view-points. Short videos and interactive exercises will be included to promote experiential learning.
While this course will make reference to research, no previous knowledge is required and the information provided will be made accessible to all.
