To obtain this concession the college will need a photocopy of documentation to show what payment you are on. This must be presented on registration along with your pps number. This course introduces students to ceramic sculpture in the form of portrait modeling and offers the opportunity to make portrait busts and heads in clay.
Course Content:
The course is suitable for artists, ceramicists as well as beginners who want to focus on the human form and portraiture in clay sculpture. Representational modeling techniques will be introduced and students will have the opportunity to explore working in a variety of scales. The course can be used as an opportunity to create a self-portrait or to create the bust of a loved one or just to improve your sculpting skills. All pieces will be fired to stoneware temperature and will be suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use.
