To obtain this concession the college will need a photocopy of documentation to show what payment you are on. This must be presented on registration along with your pps number. In this fantastic class, now running for 5 years with great success in Dublin and Edinburgh, teacher and artist Laurie Legrand will introduce key movements, major artists and techniques in a fresh and dynamic way, through texts from acclaimed art critics and high quality projected images. Besides rediscovering famous work of arts in a new light, by learning their actual context as well as how they were made, students will also:
Discover and learn how to identify main artistic techniques
Develop in a constructive way or further their opinion of art
Discover notable female artists from each period, as well as other less recognised art movements happening simultaneously in the rest of the world
Build or further their understanding of the major periods of Western Art History
Have a genuinely rewarding and enjoyable time!
