2 Enrolment at LCFE Mulgrave Street Enrolment for Adult Education Evening Programmes for January 2017 will take place at the College as follows:

Tuesday 29th August 5pm - 7pm
Wednesday 6th September 5pm – 8.30pm

NOTE: For convenience it is possible to register for all of our programmes that are available at both campi at either Mulgrave Street or Cappamore.

All programmes up to 14 weeks in duration will also run in January 2018. Enrolment for Adult Evening Programmes for January 2018 will take place at the College as follows:
Enrolment – January 2018:
Wed 3rd - Thursday 18th January, 10am - 3pm
Wed 10th January, 5pm - 7pm
Existing Programmes will recommence on Monday 8th January 2018 and new programmes will commence on Monday 22nd January 2018.

Refund Policy
Programme Cancellation For a programme to commence it is necessary to enrol a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached the programme will be cancelled. Participants will be notified and a full fee refund will be processed. Any fees paid by cash are refunded by cheque and will require some time to process.
Viable Programmes
All other programmes must remain viable and be self-financing; therefore, NO REFUND S, under any circumstances, are available once a programme commences. We regret we cannot entertain any other requests for refunds. Once a programme commences participants cannot defer their place on that programme to another term. It is the responsibility of the participants to inform themselves of the programme commencement date, content, programme duration, etc.

Assignment/ Project Submission
Coursework will not be returned to learners once submitted for assessment. Learners are therefore advised to retain a hard copy of all coursework submitted. This is necessary both for the learner’s own future reference and in the event of the tutor requesting a copy of the coursework, for whatever reason.
Electronic back-up copies should also be retained. All hard copy materials will be disposed of by 30th September of every academic year.

These qualifications in advanced word processing and spreadsheet techniques are for anyone interested in developing a career in any general business, service or administrative function.
The aim of both modules are to enable candidate’s to use an increasingly sophisticated range of facilities available in modern office software such as word and spreadsheets to prepare, process and produce a range of documents accurately, efficiently and with professional presentation.
Programme Description
Advanced Word Processing and Spreadsheet Techniques are qualifications that can prepare participants for the modern workplace by equipping them with skills and knowledge to effectively use Microsoft office software.
• Word Processing Techniques module includes: create and edit documents, apply a range of text processing features including: format text, import and resizing graphics, line spacing, indenting text and paragraphs, borders and shading.
• Identify and correct inconsistencies of style within the text including: figures, times, dates, measurements, punctuation. Use mail merge including: creating a data file of variable data. Create a standard document and merge it with a previously created data file.
• Proof-read and correct documents. Proof read all documents for errors (keying-in, spelling, layout, grammar, punctuation) without reference to correct copies.
• Use of mark-up capabilities to make track changes to documents.
• Spreadsheet Processing Techniques module includes: analyse and test data, use on-line help, work with multiple worksheets.
• Be able to: name, rename and use multiple worksheets; link worksheets; delete pages, page breaks, and worksheets; move and copy worksheets.
• Using advanced techniques use arrays, use manual and automatic calculation, protect and unlock cells, hide and unhide cells, use password protection, set up customised lists, create macros, templates and toolbars for users, work with macros.
• Be able to: analyse user requirements in the design of a spreadsheet, including designing templates; establish trends and forecasts; use test and validation procedures; use error functions and messages; debug spreadsheet design.
• Be able to: change settings for the paper source where more than one is available; select the correct printer driver for the printer being used; printed selected pages of a multi-page spreadsheet.
