The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

• Work experience
For entry you need:
• level 4 ICT or equivalent
• experience with computers – familiar with microsoft office and Web functionality
• keen interest in network/systems maintenance and support
Progression opportunities for employment in the ICT area or further learning at level 5 or 6
At this level you are ready to take on entry level work in
some settings. there is also the possibility to progress on
to higher level study in your chosen area.
Programmes run for 8 to 10 hours per week for up to 26 weeks.
