This programme offers students the opportunity to enhance their level of compositional knowledge, theoretical understanding and practical skill.
The programme will develop further the graduate’s skill in core game music composition areas as well as more specialist areas such as game audio middleware, game engines, sound design, game design and sound implementation. The graduates will gain experience in operating as individuals and as members of a team working towards a common goal. The extensive major project, supervised by game design lecturers with industry experience, prepares students for work in a modern game audio practice.
Students will be expected to independently complete a major project which will contribute significantly to their overall grade. Students will carry out practical game audio production in our labs and studio, use game audio middleware, develop interactive music systems in order to gain an understanding of the behaviour of dynamic game audio and the practical skill sets to design solutions to game audio challenges.
