This is a day-time delivered programme running over one year, with attendance required on one or two days per week (depending on timetables). Classes are delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will be supported by blended learning and significant on-line material. Assessment will comprise course work and/or examination. This special purpose award is aimed at enhancing learners’ understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation in practice. It comprises two modules – ‘Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice’ and ‘Systematic Innovation & Intrapreneurship’.
The programme will enhance learners’ understanding of the process of entrepreneurship, enabling them to identify the prerequisites for becoming successful entrepreneurs, and explore the role of creativity in the context of new venture creation. The programme will also enable learners to develop strategies to foster innovation within their organisations by learning how to structure and develop a culture of innovation. Students will learn how to take a systematic approach to the development of innovation based on the latest methodologies and current thinking.
