Course Content Aims
To provide the learner with a broad knowledge of the application, construction, programming and management of web based applications.
Subjects Taught Web Programming, HTML, Tables, Form Objects and Controls. Programming with Frames, Adding Multimedia, Dynamic HTML. Introduction to PERL, Web Page Development Software, Domain names, FTP, Maintaining a Web Page. Computer Programming, Functions. Programme Flow, Strings and Arrays, Pointers, Software Design Techniques, System Debuggers, Object Oriented Programming, Dynamic Data Exchange, Simple programming exercises (Java).
Assessment Method Each taught module has a programme of continuous assessment worth 50% and a final exam worth 50%. It is necessary to pass both elements to achieve an award in the module.
