The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Participants will need basic computer skills and must have access to a computer and relevant software outside of class time. This is an ideal course for anyone who wants to up skill or for those who have very basic skills and want to gain knowledge in other computer applications with a recognised qualification. It includes theory, file management, spreadsheets, database, wordprocessing, graphics and internet & email. It also introduces the learner to Customer Service preparing for working in any work environment.
