The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.

Participants will need basic computer skills and must have access to a computer and relevant software outside of class time. This is an ideal course for anyone who wants to up skill and learn to type or for those who have very basic skills and want to gain knowledge in other computer applications with a recognised qualification. It includes theory, file management, spreadsheets, graphics,database, wordprocessing, internet & email and keyboarding skills. This course can be used as preparation for QQI Level 5 E-Business course at Rossa College, any other Business Studies course or as preparation for ECDL exams.
