The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Hide-Education: No formal education or qualifications are required although applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 3 when accessing a Level 4 programme. Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course. For further information please refer to Programme Descriptor

This programme module aims to equip learners to use woodworking tools and equipment safely and
to develop an ability to plan, design and make woodcraft projects. The Technical Drawing aspect aims to provide the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to draw objects in two and three dimensions to scale, interpret and monitor key elements of technical drawing and produce technical drawings under supervision.

Learning Outcomes
