This September we are offering a Healthcare Course to adults who require qualifications in this area. It can also be used as a stepping stone for those who wish to further their training in Social Studies. |

| Course Fee |
A course fee of €200 will apply as directed by the DES. This fee applies to all PLC courses, however learners on social welfare are exempt from such fees. |

Students attending the course will be able to apply for student grants under the National System at www.susi.ie. |

The course includes:
Care provision and practice,
Care of the older person,
Special Needs Assisting,
Care Support,
Care skills,
Infection Prevention & control,
Health & Safety at Work,
Communications, Anatomy & Physiology and
Work Experience.
Additional workshops in Cardiac First Response training, Child protection training, and Manual and Patient Handling training will also be organised for the learners. An appropriate fee will be charged for these workshops. |
| Entry Requirements |
The course will also require learners to be Garda vetted.
The course is demanding and we would expect participants to have completed their Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
Mature students are most welcome to apply. |
