The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Hide-Education: Applicants should have a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 3 when accessing a Level 4 programme. Applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education although no formal qualifications are required.
Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work under direction with some ability to work on their own initiative.

Applicants must have previously completed ESOL Level 3 (or have a standard of English equivalent to ESOL Level 3)before progressing to ESOL Level 4 course.
This course is designed to suit the needs of those wishing to improve their English language skills in order to gain employment or progress into further education in Ireland. It aims for students to become independent users of the language. By the end of this course students should be able to express themselves on a range of topics, both written and verbal.
Certification at QQI level 4 is offered.
