Hide-Back To Education Initiative (BTEI)
The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Course Duration
Part-time: 2 years (2 days per week, 4 components each year).
Entry Requirements:
Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied or FETAC Level 4. Mature students with relevant life or work experience. All candidates will be interviewed individually.
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to take an assessment in English to establish the most suitable level of study for them.
Work Experience:
All students will complete a work experience placement as part of the course.
Certification:
QQI Level 5 Major Award in Business Administration (5M2468).
Prospects:
Satisfactory completion of the course will enable learners to gain employment in office administration, frontline reception and secretarial roles. Learners may progress to courses at QQI Level 6 or Third Level through the Higher Education Links Scheme.
Successful students from the course have progressed with in a range of different services including large organisations such as An Post, Insurance companies and hotel groups. Other students have progressed to Study for degrees in various Third Level institutions.
