The course is designed to provide the learner with a good foundation in Science and Maths, along with practical laboratory experience. There is a focus on bio medical knowledge, sterilisation techniques, material science and good communication skills.

Course Fee GCC Registration Fee of €250 applies to all courses
€200 Government Levy Fee applies to all except:
- Those in receipt of Back to Education Allowance.
- Medical Card Holders (valid at time of Registration).
- Those in receipt of a SUSI Grant.
- Those on a VTOS scheme.

An additional QQI Certification Fee applies to all students except Medical Card Holders and Social Welfare recipients. This is payable in January of the academic year.
