Hide-The Six Sigma Yellow Belt certificate course is primarily aimed at those within an organisation who wish to develop a foundation in the principles of Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC problem solving approach. This course will demonstrate the potential of using Six Sigma tools and methodologies within an organisation. It is aimed at those who are new to six sigma including operators, technicians, supervisors and managers.
Candidates who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate in Lean Sigma Quality from IT Sligo. Note that candidates who require additional external Yellow belt certification will have to organise this directly with the external provider.
The course is offered over 1 semester from September – December each year. All of the course is taken online with one live lecture each week. These lectures are also recorded so you can watch them anytime at your convenience.
Six Sigma Yellow belt aims to provide learners with an understanding of the tools and techniques of quality that are used in the attainment of a six sigma quality environment. The principle goal of Six Sigma is to reduce variation in the process and improve quality.
Through practical examples and exercises learners will becomes proficient in the use of the basic problem solving techniques used to monitor and control processes. Topics include: Six Sigma Quality, DMAIC problem solving process, Seven Tools of Quality, Lean tools and Statistical techniques to help analyse your process.

Candidates may progress to a Six Sigma Green Belt award from IT Sligo by completing an additional two modules.
IT Sligo also offer a Six Sigma Black Belt award. Both of these course are offered in an online mode. |
