Who is the programme for?
This programme is aimed at educationally preparing nurses to expand knowledge and skills required to undertake a comprehensive health history and perform a complete advanced physical assessment.
Aims of the Programme
We aim to give you the advanced theoretical knowledge and clinical skills to carry out a complete health assessment on patients.
What will I learn?
You will learn how to undertake a comprehensive health history and perform an advanced physical assessment in a laboratory setting and you can then apply these advanced skills in clinical practice. Emphasis on communication skills and clinical decision making is a central component of the module.
How will I benefit?
You will be able to apply these ‘head to toe’ assessment skills in clinical practice which will advance your career and assist with clinical decision making and holistic care of the patient.
