Who Should Apply?
Graduates of this programme may work in structural, water, public health, renewables, transportation and geotechnical branches of the civil engineering industry. As well as developing knowledge in structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering, it will improve management and employability skills or enhance your position if currently employed in the public service or private industry. In contrast with the more mathematical BEng Civil Engineering elsewhere, this course places more emphasis on civil engineering practice and design.

Hide-This programme offers students the opportunity to enhance their level of technical knowledge, understanding and skill.
The programme will develop further the graduate’s skill in core civil engineering areas as well as more specialist areas such as new software and information systems and renewable energy technologies.
The graduates will gain experience in operating as individuals and as members of a team working towards a common goal. The extensive final year project, supervised by design lecturers with industry experience, prepares students for work in a modern engineering practice.
The course is comprised of the following modules Individual Research project; Geotechnical Engineering (Group Project); Structural Design; Environmental Engineering; Infrastructure Planning and Management; Individual Research project; Renewable Energy for Civil Engineers; Transportation Engineering; Advanced Mathematics; Structural Analysis.
