Hide-This course is a fusion of art and technology designed to help students develop a good understanding of contemporary animation skills from narrative storytelling to visual effects and visualisation. There is a strong emphasis on drawing at an advanced level as well as developing your individual creativity. You will develop a portfolio of work to gain access to higher education courses in animation and related disciplines. This course may enhance existing experience in art, design or other areas and enables progression to further qualifications. This course is also very useful for those who wish to re-enter a third level course after a break in study. Students who complete this course are eligible to apply to year two of a degree programme in art or design third level, higher education colleges, subject to availability of places. How the course is taught
The course is delivered through ongoing projects and tutorials. Students are encouraged to become self-motivated and disciplined through ongoing academic achievement and tutor feedback.

What we are looking for is primarily drawing from observation but also evidence of your interest in visual art or design. This can take many forms: notebooks, painting, photography, diaries, poetry, models or any other ideas. Please feel free to bring whatever you feel best represents you, your interests and abilities.
