Hide-Learn how to give simple but effective Acupressure massage to friends and family, and how to locate and use acupressure points. You can also use it as a self-treatment for variety of symptoms or pain.
This beginner's course in Acupressure is ideal if you are already practicing body massage, or other bodywork therapies, and wish to extend your skills to encompass a better understanding of trigger points throughout the body and how Acupressure treatments can help to alleviate common ailments or injury. You will learn all of the Meridians in the body and how to locate the trigger points that rest along them together with the various Acupressure point techniques required to deliver an effective treatment for your client.
This gives the potential to expand your client base as you will be able to offer more than just a relaxing massage. You will treat your clients with muscular pain and tenderness and lack of flexibility with more confidence.
Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self- abilities. When points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force to aid healing.
Benefits of Acupressure Massage:
· Reduces stress and anxiety
· Nervous tension
· Improves energy level
· General aches and pain
· Headaches
· Cold and flu
· Allergies
· Asthma
· Menstrual cramps and menopausal symptoms
