2 Enrolment at LCFE Mulgrave Street Enrolment for Adult Education Evening Programmes for January 2017 will take place at the College as follows:

Enrolment - September 2017 Mon 21st August - Wed 20th September 10am - 3pm
Tuesday 29th August 5pm - 7pm
Wednesday 6th September 5pm – 8.30pm
Tuesday 12th September 5pm - 7pm

3. Enrolment at LCFE Cappamo re Enrolment for Adult Education Day and Evening Programmes for September 2017 will take place at the College as follows:

Enrolment - September 2017
Mon 21st August – Wed 20th September 9.30am - 1.30pm
Tuesday 12th September 5pm - 7pm

NOTE: For convenience it is possible to register for all of our programmes that are available at both campi at either Mulgrave Street or Cappamore.

January Enrolment
All programmes up to 14 weeks in duration will also run in January 2018. Enrolment for Adult Evening Programmes for January 2018 will take place at the College as follows:

Enrolment – January 2018:
Wed 3rd - Thursday 18th January, 10am - 3pm
Wed 10th January, 5pm - 7pm

Existing Programmes will recommence on Monday 8th January 2018 and new programmes will commence on Monday 22nd January 2018.

Application forms cannot be processed nor places reserved without the full payment of tuition fees. Cheques, bank drafts or postal orders should be made payable to Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB).

Refund Policy
Programme Cancellation For a programme to commence it is necessary to enrol a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached the programme will be cancelled. Participants will be notified and a full fee refund will be processed. Any fees paid by cash are refunded by cheque and will require some time to process.

Viable Programmes
All other programmes must remain viable and be self-financing; therefore, NO REFUND S, under any circumstances, are available once a programme commences. We regret we cannot entertain any other requests for refunds. Once a programme commences participants cannot defer their place on that programme to another term. It is the responsibility of the participants to inform themselves of the programme commencement date, content, programme duration, etc.

Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance are posted to respective learners within two months of programme completion. Certificates of Attendance are only issued where a learner has 70% attendance on the programme.

Assignment/ Project Submission
Coursework will not be returned to learners once submitted for assessment. Learners are therefore advised to retain a hard copy of all coursework submitted. This is necessary both for the learner’s own future reference and in the event of the tutor requesting a copy of the coursework, for whatever reason.

Electronic back-up copies should also be retained. All hard copy materials will be disposed of by 30th September of every academic year.

Course Cancellation:

Participant Profile
This programme is suitable for those who wish to learn foundational skills needed to use and effectively work with the Adobe Photoshop in the Visual Design industry, and gain the Adobe Certified Associate certification. The Adobe Certified Associate is an industry recognized credential that demonstrates proficiency in Adobe digital skills.

The programme includes the skills and understanding of Photoshop tools and techniques, but also an understanding of design theory and industry practices for work in a commercial environment. The ideal participant is looking at embarking on, or furthering their career in the field of digital media, design, or related marketing or communications roles. Ideally learners will have an interest or background in design, or digital media, but no prior experience is required.

Domain 3.0 Understanding Adobe Photoshop
• Photoshop CC user interface, including Tools and Panels
• Selection, drawing, painting, type, and vector shape tools.
• Layers and masks, colors, swatches, and gradients, brushes, symbols, graphic styles, and patterns.

• Domain 4.0 Creating Digital Images Using Adobe Photoshop

• Create a new project, Import assets into a project, manipulate selections.

• Transform images, Create and manage layers and masks.

• Use basic retouching techniques including color correction, blending, cloning, and filters

• Create a vector drawing, Add and manipulate type.

• Domain 5.0 Publishing Digital Images by Using Adobe Photoshop

• Prepare images for export to web, print, and video.

• Export or save digital images to various file formats.
