Hide-The programme aims to provide candidates with professional education and training in the principles and practice of health promotion as applied to the promotion of cardiovascular health and diabetes prevention.
Students will learn about health promotion theory and its application to the promotion of cardiovascular health and the prevention of diabetes. Students will develop skills in health promotion programme development and the implementation of evidence-based interventions. Communication training and facilitation skills are also developed.

They may also extend the remit of their job to include Health Promotion. Successful graduates who wish to apply to the MA/Postgraduate Diploma in Health Promotion programme offered by NUI Galway can carry forward15 ECTS. |
