Nurses who work in an Emergency Department require a greater knowledge base so that subtle deterioration in a patient’s condition is identified and that timely and appropriate care is administered. This course will enhance the care that nurses working within the multi-disciplinary team in the Emergency Department gave to patients during the challenging time of acute deterioration.
Students will study the following modules:
»» Principles of assessment and management of the acutely ill adult in the emergency department.
»» Clinical assessment and management of the acutely ill adult in the emergency department.
This course was designed in conjunction with the Health Service Executive and it is fully approved by the The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
