Fancy taking the first steps to making a career or hobby out of Adventure sports? Duiske College offers a one year full time QQI Level 5 course in Outdoor Sports and Recreation. This course offers the student a chance to gain a QQI Major Level 5 award as well as National Governing Body (NGB) personal skills, Instructor, Coach and Leader Awards.
You will leave the course with a broad level of qualifications and experience setting you up to take the next step in the world of Outdoor Sports!

Hide-A student services charge of €50 is payable on application. This fee is non-refundable. Learners who enrol on an approved PLC course are eligible to pay a €200 programme participant contribution. The contribution is an annual charge. Eligible participants on PLC courses of more than one year’s duration must pay the contribution for each year of that course.The following categories of participant are exempt from paying the contribution:
•Full medical card holders in their own right and their dependent children
•Those who are eligible under the student grant scheme
•Those in receipt of the Back to Education Allowance (BTEA) or Vocational Training Opportunity Scheme (VTOS) allowances.
There are no tuition fees payable to the College by EU Nationals. Non-EU Nationals who do not meet the exemption requirements are liable for the full tuition fee of €3,430 as per Department of Education and Science instructions.

Ireland becomes a hub for Adventure Tourism. Many past students from this course have found the self confidence and personal skills developed have helped them gain employment in many different sectors.
This course also provides the opportunity to progress to a QQI Level 6 Awards or related third level courses. Such as The Degree in Outdoor Education in GMIT Castlebar, Co. Mayo
Further Education
Through the Higher Education Links Scheme, this award may be used by graduates to enhance their prospects of entry to specified courses in the Institutes of Technology. Successful graduates of these courses may achieve 390 CAO points.
