Hide-Who are we and what we do:
The Post Leaving Certificate programme is a full-time programme for people who want to gain or update existing skills in a supportive adult education environment.
A period of work placement is part of all the programmes on offer. This provides an opportunity for learners to practice the skills learned in the Centre and to gain valuable experience of the working environment.
We work closely with local employers to ensure our courses and work placement are relevant to current employment needs.
We also take great care to design courses which meet the requirements for entry into third level colleges. We have fostered strong links with a number of these institutions, in particular Maynooth University.
Assessing your goals:
On commencement of your course, we will help you to assess your educational/ employment goals. Throughout the course we will assist you in reviewing your career path and course progress. In particular, all our learners have access to career and academic guidance counsellors who are on hand to provide specific advice based on your personal needs and goals.
The programme will run subject to a mini-mum number of applicants. Please also note that courses offered are subject to change.
All our programmes provide an opportunity for learners to enhance confidence and develop their problem solving, interpersonal, writing and team-working skills.
