In this course modern business techniques are explored leaving the graduate equipped to enter the market with a wide range of expertise in various management, marketing, legal and IT practices. Students who have a flair for business will find the course both stimulating and inspiring while at the same time advancing their knowledge and experience in a wide range of business disciplines.

•Students are sent on a two week work-placement programme in a business/legal environment.
•Numerous guest lecturers from the business and legal fraternity deliver lectures on particular topics.
•Students also attend specific court cases, including the small claims court during the year.
•Visits to UCC Law and Commerce departments and the CIT’s Business department are undertaken during the year.

All applicants' suitability is assessed on the merit of their application forms and by the means of a ten to fifteen minute interview. Interviews will take place in May and September depending on when you apply. All late applicants should check with the College Main Office as quite frequently, we have places still available on some courses in September. The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to analyse, evaluate and critically apply marketing management principles and practice to a range of contexts working independently and or taking responsibility for the work of others and or to progress to higher education and training.
•Business Law 6N4045
The purpose of this subject is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in the principles and practice of the law and legislation as applicable to business. To enable the learner to work independently and or supervise the work of others in a business context and or to progress to higher education and training.

The purpose of this subject is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in the principles and practice of management within the business environment to enable the learner to develop management skills to work independently or within a supervisory capacity.

| Entry Requirements |
Candidates require a Business related QQI Level 5
award or equivalent. All students are interviewed and places are awarded on suitability.
Mature candidates who do not have formal qualifications but who have appropriate business experience are also welcome to apply. |
