Financial Support FE Student Grants
The Department of Education and Science has introduced a maintenance grant scheme for Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.
A member of staff is responsible for helping students with their grant enquiries.
Interview 1st Round In March/April, 2nd in Mid-May, Late Applicants in Late August and early September.
Portfolio Yes, samples of work which reflect the students interest and studies in art and design. In particular should include examples of observational drawing.
Application Date Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.

Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Entry Requirements Students must be educated to Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied standard. (Exceptions may be made for mature students).

Additional Requirements
Acceptance to the course is dependent on the satisfactory conclusion of an interview with Art Department staff. For this interview students should have with them some samples of their work which reflect their studies and interests in art and design. In particular, they should include examples of observational drawing.
Careers or Further Progression Recent Graduates of Art and Design at Inchicore College have gained places in N.C.A.D., D.I.T., I.A.D.T. Dun Laoghaire, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, Athlone.I.T., and Letterkenny I.T.

Many students have progressed to Higher Education through the Higher Education Links Scheme which allows students to use their QQI qualification to gain CAO points.
