Hide-This course will appeal to anyone interested in sport or leisure. This will prepare students for employment in the sport and leisure industry and/or to progress to Higher Education where graduates may complete further studies in areas such as PE leisure management or sport and leisure related areas. We have a long standing history of training sports professionals and established links wit HE colleges.
The course is full-time and requires attendance five days per week and is of two years duration. Students undertake a block of work experience in each year. Students are given extensive training in playing a variety of sports and leisure pursuits along with a comprehensive range of subjects in the areas of leisure management and administration.

Students can participate in a variety of sports at Higher Education Level.
These sports may include:
Gaelic Football
Soccer
Basketball
Rugby
The following sports are also catered for at CDVETB Level:
Cross-country, Track and Field Athletics, Swimming and Golf.
Sports Hall and leisure facilities incorporating a P.E. hall, new gym, aerobic studio, crèche and all-weather pitches.

Expand+Course fees range from €300 to €400 depending on the course. The fees cover costs of examination entry and certification fees as well as any course materials and personal equipment to students. The fees also cover a range of other services and acti...
Hide-Course fees range from €300 to €400 depending on the course. The fees cover costs of examination entry and certification fees as well as any course materials and personal equipment to students. The fees also cover a range of other services and activities provided for, or engaged in, by the students such as some trips, cultural and sporting events, accident insurance policy fee and student services fund fee. in addition to this, the Government levy of €200 will also apply for those applicants who do not hold a medical care.
Enrolment Deposit
Students who accept the offer of a place on a course must pay a non-refundable deposit of €50. The balance of the fee must be paid on commencement of each academic year.
External Examination Fees
Students who choose to enter for examinations other than those set by QQI and/or BTEC must pay the appropriate exam fees to the relevant examining authority.

The Department of Education and Science has introduced a maintenance grant scheme for Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.

1st Round In March/April, 2nd in Mid-May, Late Applicants in Late August and early September. |
| Application Date |
Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.
Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Sports Halls, Swimming Pools, Leisure pools, Leisure Centres, Hotel Leisure Facilities, Outdoor Education Centres, National Governing Bodies of Sport, Schools, Sales and Marketing and Sports Retail Outlets.
Graduates have also availed of the opportunity to further their education by gaining entry to Third Level Degree Courses in many different Universities and Colleges in Ireland and Britain. Many students have availed of the opportunity to progress to Degree Courses in Physical Education (PE) and are now teaching in schools throughout Ireland and Britain.
