Hide-The aim of this course is to facilitate individuals who wish to pursue employment in the Healthcare related fields as well as preparing one for further study. The career options open to those who successfully complete the course include employment in Nursing Homes, Day Care Centre and Home Help.
No prior experience or study is required to attend this class.
The course is a 2 year part-time programme beginning at 7pm and finishing at 9.30pm one night a week. There is 60 hours class time per year in total for this course. A term payment is made at the start of each term .i.e. September and January
The students also engage in work experience in relevant employment in the locality.

The Healthcare course also involves a lot of practical work and assignments.
To obtain a full QQI Level 5 Certificate in Healthcare Assistant, a minimum of 8 modules must be undertaken.
Modules listed are examinable by way of written and oral assignments and examinations throughout the year and/ or at the end of the year. We always advise students to speak with tutors on enrolment night as this course involves a large commitment by the learners.
