How to Apply
Students typically apply for WIT part-time courses online. To apply go to the WIT Part-time website at via www.wit.ie/parttime, click into the Course webpage and then click on the “Apply for this Course” button. [NOTE: Postgraduate applicants will be directed to the www.pac.ie system. Please see the Application information on each course page.]
Option A: Apply and pay the tuition fees by Debit/Credit Card.
Option B: Complete and print the online application form, and post it with your payment (Cheque, Postal order, Bank Draft) within 10 working days.
Your application can not be processed until payment has been received. In certain cases late applications may be accepted (i.e. shortly after the closing date). In these cases the 10 days does not apply and applicants will be required to pay at the time of application.
Please supply a valid email address - all correspondence regarding your application, start date of your course etc. will be made by email. It is your responsibility to check your nominated email inbox regularly.
Apply in Person
Students may also apply in person at the Part-time Student Helpdesk in the main atrium of the WIT Cork Road Campus or at the WIT Part-time Open Evening on Wed 23rd August 2017 5pm – 7pm.
Please note that we can only accept card payment – no cash payments can be accepted. Where employers are paying fees please seek payment or reimbursement from your employer. WIT Part-time can not offer invoicing facilities.

How to Pay?
Students typically pay fees online as part of the online application process. Alternatively one can pay by cheque/PO/bank draft within 10 days of making application. Unfortunately WIT cannot accept cash payment and cannot invoice for PT course fees. |

Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Students over 23 years of age may be exempted from this requirement if they can demonstrate that they are suitable candidates for the course of study. Please see more information on Entry Requirements in the Student Information section. |

Hide-WIT Bursary for the Unemployed and One Parent Families
We encourage those in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance, Jobseeker’s Benefit, Jobseekers Transitional Payment or One Parent Family Allowance* to apply as part time students to WIT in order to improve their employment prospects. Applicants in receipt of these payments may apply for a bursary rate (circa 25% discount) for many part-time undergraduate courses. Please see the individual courses pages for more information.
Please provide evidence of your eligibility by supplying your PPS number and signing the declaration which states that the information submitted is accurate and honest. Your details will be verified by the Department of Social Protection. (Please see the reduced fees listed by programme in this prospectus under the heading ‘Cost, if eligible for bursary scheme’. This scheme will be subject to review at the end of the 2017/2018 academic year and does not apply to any of our part-time postgraduate programmes.
*If your partner is claiming one of the above payments on your behalf you may also be eligible to claim the bursary. Proof of joint benefit payment is required.
Tax Relief
People pursuing part-time courses leading to a third-level qualification may be eligible for tax relief on their fees if paying from their own income. This introductory module is designed to enable the student to understand and use everyday expressions and basic phrases.
In order to earn the 5 QQI / European Credit Transfer System credits that attach to this module students would need to pass in-class assessment including 30% oral. |
