The MSc in Mathematical Sciences is an interdisciplinary research degree. Students prepare a major thesis under the supervision of an approved academic supervisor from within University College Dublin.
The UCD School of Mathematical Science delivers a wide range of taught and research programmes at graduate level. These programmes reflect the breadth of our disciplines and research activity as well as the ubiquity of mathematical sciences in modern scientific research.

You should have a strong background and proven ability in the relevant discipline. Despite the negative economic situation at the moment, graduates of our degrees are in huge demand.
In recent years students have chosen not to study mathematical degrees in Ireland and there is now a real shortage of graduates in this area.
Companies cannot find enough graduates with the skills offered in our degrees. Salaries for graduates with any of our degrees are very attractive. |
