Learners gain first-hand experience in a wide range of disciplines, developing core skills that can help them advance to a more specialised performing arts training. This immersive, hands-on performing arts course offers an opportunity to improve your performing, auditioning and technical production skills. Learn to work collaboratively with other creative individuals. Display your talents and discover your strengths. Clarify educational and career objectives. Students discover acting for stage and screen. The business aspects of the performing arts industry are explored when students form a mini production company with classmates to stage shows both on and off campus. Throughout the course, students experience field trips, live concerts, plays and other professional performances. The course is taught by experienced industry professionals.

All applicants' suitability is assessed on the merit of their application forms and by the means of a ten to fifteen minute interview. Interviews will take place in May and September depending on when you apply. All late applicants should check with the College Main Office as quite frequently, we have places still available on some courses in September. The purpose of this component is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to develop effective skills for performance in theatre settings, including the required self-awareness and discipline.
•Performance Craft 5N4567
The purpose of this component is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to integrate performance skills, styles and disciplines in systematic, imaginative and creative ways, so as to effectively participate in solo and group performances, including auditions.
•TV & Film Acting 5N6046
The purpose of this component is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to enable a practical understanding and appreciation of the role of professional acting in television and film.

Work Experience 5N1356
The purpose of this component is to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to participate in the workplace for a limited time, carrying out work-related tasks independently while under general direction. This component will enable learners to prepare for a professional working life in the entertainment industry. Working with a producer and director, learners prepare and plan for a public performance in a professional venue. The experience enables learners to develop work skills.
