Course Fee In general, there are two levels of fees payable. EU students from EU countries including Ireland pay a subsidised level of fees for both taught courses and research programmes. Entry Requirements Normally an honours degree with at least a high 2.2 grade in
History. Interview may be required. For international students
whose first language is not English, an English language exam
certificate showing IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) is required.

Course Content Students examine and research the rich subject area of Irish history from the earliest times to the present day, assessing the major events which led to the emergence of modern Ireland.
Subjects Taught Course Structure
Modules include Irish urban history, interpreting local evidence, debates and controversy in Irish history, religious life in Ireland, the Irish revolution 1913-1923.
