VTOS - Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme
To be eligible you must be over 21 years, and 6 months in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment. This grant may include the cost of some books, lunch and travel expenses.
Interview 1st round of interviews for all courses is in May 2018. Final round is at the end of August for remaining places.

Practical anatomy and physiology for sports massage
Apply massage methods to prevent and manage injury
Complementary Therapy modules (Reflexology; Indian
Head Massage; Hot Stone Massage)
Advanced skills to analyse posture & range of movement
Use of sports therapy equipment (Tens machine; Ultra sound etc.)
Sports nutrition

Support Elements:
Taping and strapping
Sports psychology
Dry needling
Dynamic taping.
Mature Entry Places Mature students are invited to apply
Entry Requirements Leaving Certificate or equivalent, or appropriate experience in the workplace.
Careers or Further Progression Employment Opportunities
• Working as part of an existing Sports Injury Management Clinic alongside other specialists e.g. Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Physical Therapists
• Open own clinic and work as physical Therapist / Sports Injury Therapist, specialising in injury prevention, injury
treatment/management & injury re-habilitation
• Work for sporting organisations, clubs and teams
